Born 05/06/1979 in Florence – Italy

Before Marco began working as a photographer, he worked as a planner in an architecture studio, giving him a sense for space, line and design that has proved invaluable in his work.

While still a photographic student, he participated in several workshops with well-known photographers and artists, among which were Arnaud Claass, Guido Guidi, Paolo Woods, Paolo Verzone, Edward Rozzo and Wolfgang Zurborn. He also participated in a 2006 workshop with Bas Princen at Linea di Confine Rubiera.

In 2007, he earned his three-year degree in photography from the Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence. Marco worked as a digital assistant at the Toscana Photographic Workshop (TPW) in 2007. In the same year, his work was recognised and selected as a young upcoming photographer by MAXXI Museo Arte Contemporanea di Roma and exhibited in Roma, Firenze and Reggio Emilia.

He presented his first solo exhibition in March 2010, at Manzoni Gallery in Bergamo - Italy, the project is about the effects of "urban fear" on society and landscape.

Currently lives in South Africa, where he is working on a project documenting the society.
